Established over 160 years ago, Pilgrim Payne & Co has built an excellent reputation as specialist cleaners of curtains, carpets, upholstery and rugs.
Founders Mr Pilgrim and Mr Payne started dry-cleaning clothes in 1850, just one year after the very first dry-cleaners, Jolly-Bellin, opened in Paris. Over the years, as the company has evolved, we have expanded our range of services to include curtain making, reupholstery and the restoration of rugs, carpets and tapestries. We also offer a general cleaning service to our London-based clients.
As specialist dry cleaners, we do of course recommend to our clients that their soft furnishings are cleaned on a regular basis. This keeps them fresh and hygienic, and also removes accumulated soil and grit which can reduce carpet and fabric life and enable mites and bacteria to work unchecked.
